This keycap set is designed for replacing the German QWERTZ layout with the standard English-Russian ISO/UK (QWERTY / JCUKEN) on Apple MacBook laptops. An ideal solution for users who purchased a MacBook with a European (German) keyboard and want to work comfortably with the familiar Russian-English layout without stickers or engraving.
Buying a laptop from German online stores can save you up to several hundred Euros. However, the cost of an English keyboard module and its replacement at a service center with a full laptop disassembly would completely negate any savings and be impractical. Stickers look unaesthetic, feel wrong to the touch, and cover the original backlight. Silicone keyboard covers are also far from ideal; they must be removed when carrying the laptop, otherwise, imprints and later scratches appear on the screen.
The keycaps fully replicate the original Apple key shape, height, and profile, providing a natural typing feel. The symbols are applied clearly and neatly, do not wear off with prolonged use, and are easily readable in any lighting.
The set is suitable for ISO/UK keyboards — with the large Enter key and an extra key to the left of Shift, which is important when replacing the German layout specifically.
Replacement of 23 keys is required, 3 of which can also be simply swapped — these are the X, Y, Z keys.
