Installation Instructions

⚠️ Warning: Installation requires care and precision. Perform the replacement in a well-lit area and take your time.

Tools Required:

• Plastic pry tool / guitar pick / keycap removal tool

• Clean, flat working surface

Step 1. Preparation

1. Shut down the MacBook completely.

2. Disconnect the charger.

3. Place the laptop on a flat surface.

Step 2. Removing the Old Keycaps

1. Gently pry the keycap from the top edge using a plastic tool.

2. Slowly lift the keycap until it clicks off.

3. Do not pull forcefully to avoid damaging the butterfly mechanism.

4. Repeat for the remaining keys.

⚠️ Important: Do not remove the key mechanism itself — only the keycap is replaced.

Step 3. Installing the New Keycaps

1. Align the new keycap with the key mechanism.

2. Ensure correct orientation and even positioning.

3. Press gently in the center of the keycap until it clicks into place.

4. Check that the key moves freely and evenly.

Step 4. Final Check

1. Power on the MacBook.

2. Test all replaced keys.

3. Make sure key travel and keyboard backlight work properly.
