? Key Installation Instructions

⚠️ Attention: Installation requires care. Recommended to work on a flat surface with good lighting.

Tools needed:

• Plastic pry tool, guitar pick, or keycap removal tool

• Clean hands or gloves

• A bit of patience ?

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Turn off your MacBook
   Fully shut down the device and close the lid.

2. Remove the old keycap

   • Gently lift the key from the top edge

   • Do not pull abruptly — the key should pop off

   • Ensure the scissor mechanism remains in place

3. Check the mechanism

   • The mechanism should be level and intact

   • If it is misaligned, carefully straighten it with your fingers

4. Install the new keycap

   • Align the key with the clips

   • Press first in the center, then on the edges

   • You should feel a light click

5. Test the key

   • The key should press evenly and not stick

6. Repeat for all remaining keys

? Helpful Tips:

• Do not use metal tools

• Do not press with force — the keys snap in easily

• It is recommended to replace 1–2 keys first to practice

• Large keys (Shift, Enter, Space) should be installed with extra care

• The set is not compatible with Butterfly mechanism keyboards (2016–2019)
